I31 August 2001 <br /> AGE-NC Project No 97-0343 <br /> IPage 2 of 6 <br /> • Preparation of a report of findings <br /> 21 PERMITTING AND PRE-FIELD WORK PREPARATIONS <br /> Applicable site assessment permits will be obtained from the PHS-EHD In addition, an update to <br /> Ithe health and safety plan presently on-file will be prepared in accordance with Occupational Safety <br /> and Health Guidance Manual for Hazardous Waste Site Activities (National Institute for <br /> I Occupational Safety and Health Administration, U S Coast Guard and U S Environmental <br /> Protection Agency, 1985) Prior to mobilization, each monitoring well location will be clearly <br /> marked and a utility clearance obtained through Underground Service Alert <br /> I <br /> 22 CPT DRILLING <br /> IAGE proposes to drill three CPT soil borings at the site as part of site assessment activities Proposed <br /> CPT soil boring locations are illustrated in Figure 2 <br /> • Based on petroleum hydrocarbon-impact encountered during the ongoing investigation, AGE <br /> proposes CPT soil borings to characterize lithology and asssess the vertical extent of impacted <br /> Iground water in the following locations <br /> • Between 3 and 5 feet east of ground water monitoring well MW-2, <br /> • Between 5 and 10 feet north of ground water monitoring well MW-3, and <br /> • Between 10 and 15 feet north of groundwater monitoring well MW-1 <br /> I <br /> The CPT borings will be advanced to approximately 125 feet bsg utilizing a 25-ton truck-mounted <br /> CPT drill ng equipped with 2-inch diameter hollow-stem rods,however,total depths ofbonngs may <br /> vary according to hydrogeologic conditions encountered during drilling activities <br /> I23 GROUND WATER SAMPLE COLLECTION AND ANALYSIS <br /> Grab ground water samples will be collected in intervals of porous and permeable material Ground <br /> water sampling procedures are outlined in section 3 1 The collected ground water samples will be <br /> analyzed by a State of California Department of Health Services (DHS)-certified laboratory for the <br /> following constituents <br /> • <br /> Advanced GeoEnvi ron mental,Inc <br />
