MONITORING AND REPORTING PROGRAM -3- <br /> SOUTHWEST HIDE COMPANY <br /> SURFACE IMPOUNDMENT CLOSURE <br /> SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY <br /> PROPOSED GROUND WATER AND VADOSE ZONE PORE FLUID <br /> MONITORING PROGRAM <br /> The Discharger shall submit by 1 July 1992, a proposed revised ground water and <br /> vadose zone pore fluid monitoring system and program in accordance with Article <br /> 5 of Chapter 15. The water quality monitoring system and program shall be <br /> sufficient to demonstrate compliance, or lack thereof, with the Water Quality <br /> Protection Standard. Existing water quality monitoring stations and data can be <br /> proposed for incorporation in the revised monitoring system and program. The <br /> proposal shall include: <br /> 1 . Proposed conceptual design Ad location of water quality monitoring points <br /> including those at the point of compliance (§2550.7) ; <br /> 2. Proposed monitoring parameters, constituents of concern, and their <br /> monitoring frequencies (§2550.7 and §2550.8) ; <br /> 3. Proposed concentration limits and/or methods for establishing <br /> concentration limits (§2550.4) ; and, <br /> 4. Proposed statistical methods for determining statistically significant <br /> evidence for a release from surface impoundments. <br /> Ground Water Monitoring <br /> The existing ground water monitoring system consists of twenty monitoring wells. <br /> The Discharger shall continue to monitor these wells for the constituents and <br /> parameters specified below at the specified frequency until the Discharger's <br /> revised monitoring program is approved by the Board and the monitoring system is <br /> operational . <br /> Report in Reporting and <br /> Parameter/Constituent Units of Sampling Frequency <br /> Temperature °C Quarterly <br /> Turbidity N.T.U.
