If the results exceed the TTLC limit you have non-
RCRA Haz Waste.
If the TTLC result is 10 times greater than the STLC limit then run the STLC test. STLC results
exceeding the STLC limit mean you have non-RCRA Haz Waste.
If the TTLC result is 20 times greater than the TCLP (RCRA) limit then run the TCLP test. TCLP results
exceeding the TCLP limit mean you have RCRA hazardous waste.
Barium, Molybdenum and Chromium have some exemptions depending on the material and the
limits found.
If you have a non-RCRA hazardous waste the TCLP test may be necessary to determine if you have a
RCRA HW.
The regulatory reference is: Title 22 California Code of Regulations 66261.24
https:L/aovt.westlaw.com/calregs
Contact me with any questions,
Garrett Backus, Ld.
