The following is an itemized list of hazardous waste violations that have not been <br /> addressed for PARKWOODS CLEANERS as of March 18 , 2020. <br /> Open violations from February 06 , 2020 inspection <br /> ❑ This violation was corrected ❑ This violation will be corrected by ( date) : <br /> ❑ Supporting documents included <br /> Describe actions taken or will be taken to correct violation : <br /> Violation #406 - Contaminated container not marked with date emptied or managed within one year of being <br /> emptied . <br /> OBSERVATION An empty 55-gallon black poly drum , which previously held petroleum distillates dry cleaning <br /> hazardous waste , generated from the DF-200 hydrocarbon dry cleaning system , was found not marked with the <br /> date it was emptied (see photos IMG 0664-6 ) . According to Jim Kitto , owner, this drum is being kept to store the <br /> filters from the east-facing DF-2000 hydrocarbon dry cleaning machine , once the filters are replaced ( IMG 0682 ) . <br /> These replaced filters will be managed as hazardous waste , per Jeff. <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE: Empty containers which previously held a hazardous material , including hazardous <br /> waste must be managed per Title 22 California Code of Regulations (CCR) section 66261 . 7 . Refer to this section <br /> and California Department of Toxic Substances Control guidance for more information <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION : Immediately label all empty containers with the date they were emptied and manage <br /> within one year of that date . Manage the container per Title 22 CCR section 66261 . 7 .
