^F rr <br /> • An imminent danger exists that an explosion could result in release of toxic <br /> materials <br /> • An explosion has occurred. <br /> 3.11.4.4 Chemical Release <br /> If a chemical release resulting in a vapor cloud or liquid spill is noted, the information will be <br /> w- immediately relayed to the Emergency Coordinator. The Emergency Coordinator in <br /> consultation with the Health and Safety Coordinator will assess the magnitude and potential <br /> .. seriousness of the release by reviewing the following information: <br /> • Information regarding the material released such as material safety data sheets <br /> • Source of the release <br /> - • An estimate of the quantity released and the rate at which it is being released <br /> • Weather conditions which may influence the situation. <br /> • The direction in which the air or liquid release is moving <br /> • Personnel who may be or may have been in contact with material, or release, <br /> and possible injury or sickness as a result <br /> • Potential for fire or explosion resulting from the situation <br /> • Estimates of the area threatened by the release. <br /> If the release is determined to lie within the on-site emergency response capabilities, the <br /> Emergency Coordinator will implement the necessary remedial action. <br /> If the incident results in chemical concentrations at the site perimeter exceeding the action <br /> levels specified in the Health and Safety Plan, the Emergency Coordinator will notify the <br /> appropriate support agencies. The Emergency Coordinator may elect to make immediate <br /> notification if conditions warrant.
