' 8.1.2 Frequency <br /> Breathing zone air monitoring must be conducted periodically throughout the day while work <br /> is being performed in the EZ regardless of the level of protection being worn Such readings <br /> must be documented on FADL forms even if contaminant concentrations are "nondetectable." <br /> B.1.3 Monitoring Equipment Maintenance and Calibration <br />' All IT PIDs will be calibrated in accordance with IT Procedure HS603 and the manufacturer's <br /> instructions. Preventive maintenance and repairs will be conducted in accordance with the <br />' respective manufacturers' procedures <br /> All other IT air monitoring equipment (e.g., combustible gas/oxygen meters and aerosol <br /> monitors) will be maintained and calibrated in accordance with the specific manufacturers' <br /> procedures <br /> All personal sampling pumps shall be calibrated in accordance with OSHA sampling <br />' protocols and NIOSH methods for the analyte of interest <br /> All direct reading instrumentation calibrations should be conducted under the approximate <br /> environmental conditions the instrument will be used. All air monitonng equipment <br /> 1 calibrations and maintenance activities shall be documented on the IT FADL, or equivalent <br />' When applicable, only manufacturer-trained and/or authorized IT personnel will be allowed to <br /> perform instrument repairs or preventive maintenance (e g , repairs on the hydrogen handling <br /> or electrical components of an organic vapor analyzer [OVA]) <br /> 8.2 Noise Monitoring <br />' Noise monitoring may be performed under the direction of the Prosect Health and Safety <br /> Manager if high noise levels are routinely encountered. High noise levels are considered to <br />' be noise levels which make normal conversation difficult to understand at arm's length.
