' 9.0 Employee Training <br /> p yee ra�n�ng <br /> 9.1 General <br /> All on-site project personnel shall have completed at least 40 hours of hazardous waste <br /> oPerations-related training, as required by OSHA Regulation 29 CFR 1910 120. All field <br />' employees receive a mnnunum of three days of actual field experience under the direct <br /> supervision of a tramed, experienced supervisor Those personnel who completed the 40-hour <br /> training more than 12 months prior to the start of the project shall have completed an 8-hour <br /> refresher course within the past 12 months The FC shall have completed an additional S <br /> hours of relevant supervisory health and safety training. With the exception of subcontractor <br />' personnel who will be working in areas in which there is no potential for exposure to <br /> wastewater or other hazardous substances, subcontractor personnel must meet the above <br /> training requirements (Appendix B) <br /> IT provides each employee who completes the required 40 hours of classroom training and <br /> three days of field experience with a certificate signed by the instructor. A copy of the <br /> certificate is maintained in the employee's home business unit training files. Subcontractors <br /> must provide certificates of training for the project file for all employees assigned to the <br /> project, if they will be working in areas where there is the potential for exposure to hazardous <br /> substances <br /> 9.1.1 Tailgate Safety Meetings <br /> Prior to the start of the project, all personnel will participate in a tailgate safety meeting <br /> During the tailgate safety meeting, the HASP will be discussed. The FC will ensure that the <br /> anticipated site hazards are summarized and explained to all personnel, and that those <br /> t personnel are aware of the precautions they must take to minimize their exposure to those <br /> hazards. Tailgate safety meetings will be held at the start of each work shift.
