All workers and visitors must read and <br /> sign the HASP acknowledging acceptance of site Hiles and understanding of site hazards <br /> before the start of the site work. <br /> 9.2 Site Workers'Basic Course <br /> The following is a list of the topics covered in IT's 40-hour training course. <br /> • General site safety <br /> • Physical hazards (fall protection, noise, heat stress, cold stress) <br /> • Names and titles of key personnel responsible for site health and safety <br /> • Safety, health, and other hazards typically present at hazardous waste sites <br /> • Use of PPE <br /> • Work practices by winch employees can minimize risks from hazards <br />' • Safe use of engineering controls and equipment on site <br /> • Medical surveillance requirements including recognition of symptoms and signs <br /> which might indicate overexposure to hazards <br /> • Worker nght-to-know (Hazard Communication OSHA 1910 1200) <br /> • Routes of exposure to contaminants <br /> • Engineering controls and safe work practices <br />' Components of the site health and safety program <br /> • Decontamination practices for personnel and equipment <br /> • Confined-space entry procedures <br />' Emergency response plan. <br />' 9.3 Supervisors' Course Content <br /> Management and supervisors must receive an additional eight hours of training presented by <br /> the IT Training Department that includes <br /> M71o5-09-%MST/'94-0063 bk 9-2 <br />
