San Joaquin <br /> Stockton <br /> In response to the March 27 , 1990 and April 6, 1990 phone <br /> conversations between Darlene Reuss of our staff and Jay Grant, <br /> Attorney for Community Linen Service, San Joaquin County Public <br /> Health Services, Environmental Health Division (PHS/EHD) would like <br /> to clarify the following issues: <br /> a, ) Aeration is not within the jurisdiction of PHS/EHD. All <br /> aeration activities are handled through Air Pollution <br /> Control District. <br /> b. ) Excavation for '' the purpose of resampling all the . <br /> sidewalls and bottom of the tank pit may take place. A <br /> representative of PHS/EHD will be present during the re-- <br /> excavation and sampling. <br /> c. ) The responsible party has the option to fill the tank <br /> excavation anytime. PHS/EHD prefers using clean soil to <br /> fill the excavation but the responsible party does have <br /> the option of filling the excavation with the original <br /> soil.
