School Street <br /> Lodi, CA 95240 <br /> r <br /> On September 21, 1987, five underground storage tanks were removed from the above . <br /> referenced site. San Joaquin County Public Health Services, Environmental Health <br /> Division (PHS/EI-ID) staff noted odor to the soil at the time the tanks were <br /> removed. Results of the analyses of soil samples collected beneath the tanks at <br /> the time of their removal confirmed soil contamination. <br /> The responsible parties for this site were directed by PHS/EHD to further <br /> 1 investigate the extent of the contamination. On August 8, 1991, PHS/EHD <br /> requested that the Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board consider <br /> formal enforcement action since the responsible parties had not conducted the <br /> further investigation. <br /> To date the investigation still has not been conducted. The extent of soil <br /> contamination as well as the impact or threat of impact to groundwater is not <br /> known. <br /> Pursuant to the definition of responsible parties stated in Section 2720 of the <br /> i California Code of Regulations, Title 23, Division 3, Chapter 16 (Underground <br /> Storage Tank Regulations) , Article 11 (Corrective Action Requirements) whoever <br /> assumes ownership of this property will be a responsible party for the site <br /> investigation and remediation. <br /> The PHS/EHD file on this site is public information.
