INTRODUCTION <br /> At the request of Mr Edward Barkett,Advanced GeoEnvironmentai, Inc (AGE) has prepared this <br /> Work Plan Addendum for the advancement of soil probe borings and sampling of soil and ground <br /> water at 107 North School Street in Lodi,California The location of the site is illustrated in Figure <br /> 1 A plan of the site is illustrated on Figure 2 <br /> This Work Plan is prepared in accordance with San Joaquin County Public Health Services - <br /> Environmental Health Division (PHS-EHD) and Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control <br /> Board(CVRWQCB) guidelines for the Investigation of underground storage tank (UST) sites <br /> The purpose of this assessment is to evaluate the lateral and vertical extent of petroleum hydrocarbon <br /> impacts to soil and ground water at the site This Work Plan Addendum provides a description of <br /> the scope of work and field procedures for the soil and ground water assessment activities <br /> Background information and site history is included in the Site Assessment Work Plan -January <br /> 1997, prepared by AGE <br />• 2.0. SCOPE OF WORK <br /> Based on the results of laboratory analysis of soil samples collected during removal of the USTs and <br /> undocumented excavation of impacted soil,additional assessment is required to determine the lateral <br /> and vertical extent of hydrocarbon-impacted soli and ground water <br /> AGE proposes a"phased"investigation for the property The initial phase of work will include the <br /> advancement and sampling of five to six soil probe bonngs A second phase will include the <br /> installation and sampling of ground water monitoring wells The third phase of investigation, if <br /> necessary, will include the performance of feasibility studies and Installation of remediation wells <br /> The first two phases of investigation are addressed in this Work Plan Addendum Additional <br /> investigation and, if necessary, remediation, will be addressed in a subsequent work pian <br /> The investigation of the extent of petroleum hydrocarbons at the site will consist of the following <br /> tasks <br /> • Permitting and pre-field work activities, <br /> • Soil sample collection and analysis, <br /> • In-situ ground water sample collection and analysis, <br /> • Monitoring well installation and development (If necessary), <br /> Advanced Geo£nvironmental,Inc <br />
