Excavation of 550 to 600 cubic yards of contaminated soil and collection of soil samples from the <br /> sidewalls and bottom of the excavation,as well as the stockpiled soil. <br /> 2. Laboratory analysis of soil samples for total:petroleum hydrocarbons(TPH) as gasoline and TPH as diesel <br /> using EPA method 8015M,and BTEX,MTBE,TBA,DIPS,TAME,ETRE,1,2-DCA and EDB using <br /> EPA method 8260B. <br /> 3. Disposal of the contaminated soil at an appropriately licensed landfill. <br /> 4. Filling the excavation with clean material. <br /> 5. Report preparation. <br /> COMMENTS AND CONDITIONS: <br /> 1. Collection of more than 5 soil samples from the•sidewalls and bottom of the excavation may be <br /> required. <br /> 2. The introductory letter states that the-scope of work also includes installation of one additional <br /> ground water monitoring well,three ozone sparging wells and performance of a 24-week in-situ ozone <br /> sparge pilot test. These items were not included in•the work plan and are not approved at this time. <br /> Prior to installation of ozone sparge wells or consideration of ozone sparging as a remedial alternative, <br /> submit a plan to the Central Valley Regional Water.Quality Control Board for a bench scale test with <br /> regards to the need for Waste Discharge Requirements for the injection of ozone.
