Quarterly Report - First Quarter 2005 <br /> PREM DOR <br /> 433 West Scotts Avenue, Stockton, California <br />' 1.0. INTRODUCTION <br /> At the request of Dr Sonya Olbrantz of Masonite International,Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc <br />' (AGE) has prepared this quarterly report for the property located at 433 West Scotts Avenue, <br /> Stockton, California(site) The site and the surrounding area are illustrated on Figure 1 Structures, <br /> borings, and well locations are illustrated on Figure 2 Additional site background information is <br />' summarized in Appendix A <br />' 2.0. PROCEDURES <br /> On 24 March 2005, ground water monitoring was performed on monitoring wells MW-1 through <br /> IMW-3 Field work was conducted in accordance with guidelines issued by the San Joaquin County <br /> Environmental Health Department (EHD) for the sampling of ground water monitoring wells and <br /> Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board(CVRWQCB)guidelines for the investigation <br />' of underground storage tank (UST) sites <br /> 2 1 WELL MONITORING AND EVACUATION <br />' The depth to ground water in each monitoring well was measured from the top of well casing to <br /> the nearest 0 01-foot utilizing a Solinst water level meter Ground water elevation in each well was <br /> calculated by subtracting the measured depth to ground water from the surveyed casing elevation <br />' (Table 1) <br /> After water levels were measured, a dedicated Waterra hose bailer was used to purge wells MW-1, <br />' MW-2 and MW-3 of approximately 8 5, 8 and 8 5 gallons of water(a minimum of three casing water <br /> volumes per well),respectively Ground water temperature,pH,and conductivity were measured at <br /> regular intervals during purging using an Oakton water analyzer Field sheets and data are included <br /> in Appendix B Purged water was stored on-site in properly labeled,Department of Transportation <br /> (DOT)-approved 55-gallon drums <br /> ' <br /> 22 COLLECTION AND ANALYSIS I OF GROUND WATER SAMPLES <br /> Water samples were collected from each purged well using a dedicated inertia pump hose after <br /> allowing the wells to achieve a minimum 80%recovery of the pre-purge water volume Each water <br /> sample was transferred into three laboratory supplied, 40-milliliter (ml) volatile organic analysis <br /> (VOA)vials containing 0 5 ml 18%hydrochloric acid solution as a preservative, one 1-liter amber <br /> • bottle without preservative, and one 16-ounce plastic bottle containing 5 ml nitric acid as a sample <br /> ' Advanced GeoEnvironmentai,Inc <br />
