03 August 2005
. AGE-NC Project No 02-0950
3 2 ANALYTICAL RESULTS OF GROUND WATER SAMPLES
TPH-g and TPH-d were detected in the water sample collected from well MW-2 at concentrations
' of 53,000 micrograms per liter (µg/1) and 88,000 µg11, respectively
BTEX components were detected in the water sample collected from well MW-2 at concentrations
' of 600 µg/1 benzene, 3,500 µg/1 toluene, 2,300 µg/l ethylbenzene, and 10,000 µg/1 xylenes
1,2-dichloroethane was detected in the water sample collected from well MW-2 at a concentration
' of 6 2 µg/l
No other analytes were detected at or above laboratory reporting limits in the ground water samples
' analyzed The analytical results of the ground water samples are summarized in Table 2 The
laboratory report(CTEL Project No CT214-0503257), quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC)
report, and chain of custody form are included in Appendix C Documents confirming the upload
' of laboratory electronic deliverable format (EDF) files and depth to water measurements to
GeoTracker are included In Appendix D
lie
4.0. SUMMARY AND CONCLUSIONS
' Based on the data collected from the site, AGE concludes
• At the time of the March 2005 sampling event, depths to ground water ranged from
' 16 91 feet to 17 20 feet below the tops of the well casings Ground water elevation at the site
averaged approximately 9 28 feet below MSL, indicating an increase in ground water
elevation of approximately 3 feet between December 2004 and March 2005 Ground water
' was inferred to be flowing toward the northwest under a hydraulic gradient of approximately
0 009 ft/ft
' TPH-g and TPH-d were detected in the water sample collected from well MW-2, TPH-g
concentration slightly decreased, while TPH-d concentration significantly increased
' compared with the previous quarter
• BTEX compounds were detected in the water samples collected from well MW-2 The
concentrations of benzene, ethylbenzene, toluene and total xylenes were higher than the
previous quarter The concentrations of BTEX detected in MW-2 were all above each
constituent's respective DHS maximum contaminant level (MCL)
' Advaneed GeoEnv►ronmental,Inc
