r
ATTORNEY-CLIENT PRMLEG
E
2.3 GROUNDWATER SAwLiNG AND ANALYSIS
Six rounds of groundwater monitoring have been completed Groundwater from beneath the
Site was sampled and analyzed on January 22, 1991, May 2, 1991, November 14, 1991,
February 28, 1992; March 5, 1993, and May 19, 1993 The rounds of sampling included
analyses for (1) low to medium boiling point hydrocarbons, (2) benzene, (3) toluene, (4)
ethylbenzene, (5) xylenes, (6) high boiling point hydrocarbons, (7) total extractable
petroleum hydrocarbons, and (8) total recoverable petroleum oil The results of the
groundwater sampling are presented in Table 2.
Two sets of detects were reported in the six rounds of samples. The first set of detects was
noted in samples SFW-1, SFW-2, and SFW-3, taken on January 22, 1991 and analyzed for
the high boiling point hydrocarbons. The concentrations were 64, 110, and 130 µg/L (ppb),
respectively The second detect was noted in sample SFW-3, taken on May 19, 1993, and
analyzed for total extractable petroleum hydrocarbons The concentration was 64 jcg/L
(ppb)
t
G%DOELMONTk%CLO$UREt-.VM' VW1?= 3
