Prior- to <br /> mobilization, each boring location will be eicarly marked and a utility clearance obtained througli <br /> Undcruround Service Alert. <br /> 3.2. DRILLING AND SOIL SAMPLING <br /> AGE will advance a soil borin,- at the site to collect soil samples to analyze for leaching potential <br /> through WET analysis and compiete the boring as a soil vapor extraction well. The soil boring will <br /> be co-located with soil borin- B2 as illustrated in Figure 2. <br /> The soil boring will be advanced to a depth of 43 feet bsg. Soil samples will be collected from the <br /> boring at tivc-toot intervals begituaing at 5 feet bsg to the total depth. At the request of the PHS-EHD <br /> soil samples will also be collected from I8 feet and 32 feet bsg, specifically for analysis. Field <br /> procedures tier advancement of borings and collection of soil samples are presented in Section 4.1. <br /> The borings will be advanced utilizing a truck-mounted, hollow-stem drill ria equipped with 8.25- <br /> inch hollow-sterni augers. Soil samples wiil be collected ahead of the drill bit through the hollow- <br /> stem augers using a California split-spoon sanipler and brass sleeves. <br /> 3.3. SOIL SAMPLE ANALYSIS <br /> Selected soil samples will be analyzed by a State of California Department of El:ealth Services <br /> (DHS)-certified laboratory for the following constituents: <br /> • Total petroleum hydrocarbons as gasoline (TPFI-g) in accordance with EPA Method 8015 <br /> Modified, benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, xylenes and methyl tertiary butyl ether (MTBE) <br /> in accordance with EPA Method 8020; <br /> • Fuel oxygenates including MTBE, tertiary-butyl alcohol (TBA), di-isopropyl ether (DIPE), <br /> ethyl tertiary-butyl ether(ETBE) and tertiary-amyl methyl ether(TAME) in accordance with <br /> EPA Method 8260 Modified and <br /> • Waste extraction testing by EPA Method 8260 .Modified. <br /> A dvamced GeoVAii iroumental.Inc. <br />
