SCOPE OF WORK <br /> The scope of work will include the advancement of five soil probe borings to a depth of <br /> approximately 50 feet bsg Soil and ground water samples will be collected from each probe boring <br /> Assessment activities will included the following tasks <br /> • Permitting and pre-field work activities, <br /> • Soil sample collection and analysis, <br /> • Ground water sample collection and analysis, <br /> • Calculation of the remaining Hydrocarbons mass in soil and modeling of the transport fate <br /> of the ground water plume, and <br /> • Report preparation <br /> 3 1 PERMITTING AND PRE-FIELD WORK ACTIVITIES <br /> Applicable site assessment permits will be obtained from the PHS-EHD Prior to mobilization,each <br /> proposed soil probe boring location will be clearly marked and a utility clearance obtained through <br /> Underground Service Alert <br /> As required by PHS-EHD permitting, a health and safety plan is already on file in accordance with <br /> Occupational Safety and Health Guidance Manual for Hazardous Waste Site Activities (National <br /> Institute for Occupational Safety and Health Administration, U S Coast Guard and U S <br /> Environmental Protection Agency, 1985) <br /> 32 SOIL SAMPLE COLLECTION AND ANALYSIS <br /> AGE proposes to advance five soil probe bonngs, one at the former UST location, three to the <br /> northwest and north-northwest and one to the east-northeast of the former UST location to assess <br /> the lateral and vertical extent of petroleum hydrocarbon impaction, including MTBE, at the site <br /> Proposed probe boring locations are illustrated in Figure 2 <br /> Advanced GeoEnviranmental,Inc <br />
