4. WORK ZONES AND SECURITY MEASURES <br /> To facilitate a minimum exposure to dangerous toxic vapors and/or physical hazards,only <br /> authorized persons will be,allowed on the job site. Work zones will be defined by Consultant <br /> staff who will also be responsible for maintaining security within these zones. Only the minimum <br /> number of personnel necessary for the UST investigation will be.present in the work zone. <br /> 5. DECONTAMINATION AND DISPOSAL <br /> General decontamination procedures will remove contaminants that may <br /> accumulate on workers and equipment during Site activities and will prevent <br /> contaminants from migrating from the Site. <br /> Decontamination involves the orderly and controlled removal of contaminants. <br /> Standardcontamination control methods and decontamination sequences are <br /> presented in this section. All Site personnel.should minimize contact with <br /> contaminants in order to limit the need for extensive decontamination. <br /> Contamination control methods;include using PPE when appropriate [disposable � <br /> coveralls (Tyvek or equivalent), gloves (disposable liner,neoprene or nitrile 1 <br /> outer), shoe or boot covers; equipment covers(plastic bags or sheets)!; and <br /> avoiding direct contact with the contaminated material and surfaces where <br /> possible. <br /> 5.1 Personnel Decontamination <br /> Preliminary personnel decontamination will be done in the Support Zone. The F <br /> following is a list 01 the equipment that may be necessary for decontaminating <br /> personnel, and the procedures that should be followed. <br /> Equipment: <br /> 1.
