Mr. Backus—as discussed previously,Thatcher Chemicals in Stockton, California has completed the cleaning and decontamination of 4 poly tanks at their facility. After cleaning, these tanks were cut into large pieces and stored on pallets pending your acceptance of the closure certification. To evaluate potential surface contamination on the pieces, we measured surface pH at 6 locations on each of the 15 pallets (75 total measurements), all results were between 5—7 Based on this, I have completed and signed the tank closure certification form for all 4 tanks (included in the attached memo). Once we receive your acceptance of the closure certification,Thatcher will either recycle or dispose of this material Please let me know if this is acceptable to you, or I would be happy to provide additional information.
