ARCADIS Site Investigation Work Plan <br /> 401 North San Jose Street,Stockton,California <br /> 3.8 Sits Health and Safety Plan <br /> As required by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration(OSHA)'Hazardous Waste Operations <br /> and Emergency Response"guidelines(29 CFR 1910.120),ARCADIS will prepare a site-specific Health and <br /> Safety Plan(HASP).The field staff and contractors will review the HASP prior to beginning field operations <br /> at the site. <br /> 3.9 Permitting <br /> Following approval of this Work Plan,an Application for the Drilling Permit will be submitted to San Joaquin <br /> County Environmental Health Department(SJCEHD). <br /> 3.10 Underground Utility Clearance <br /> California Underground Service Alert North(USA)Will be notified at least 48 hours before proposed drilling <br /> activities to identify public utilities In the vicinity of the proposed boring.in conjunction with USA,a private <br /> utility locating company will be contracted to further evaluate the potential presence of underground utilities <br /> in the vicinity of the proposed CPT boring location. Results of the geophysical survey will also be taken Into <br /> account. The soil boring location may require field modifications due to onsite utility locations and/or field <br /> conditions. <br /> Additionally,soil boring locations will be Geared to 8 feet 1 Inch bgs,per Chevron borehole clearance <br /> requirements. Prior to installation,the proposed CPT location will be cleared either by air knife or hand- <br /> augered to identify potential underground utility conflicts. In areas where CPT/LIF data Is desired in the top <br /> 8 feet of soil,two boreholes will be cleared,two feet apart,to eight ft bgs and then the CPT boring will be <br /> advanced between the two cleared borings. This approach will be predicated on the negative results of both <br /> the utility survey and the geophysical survey at such a location. <br /> 3.11 Reporting <br /> Data collected from the Site investigation will be summarized and presented In the Site Investigation Report. <br /> The report will include results of the Investigation activities,field activities, required permits, and laboratory <br /> analytical reports with a copy of the chain-of-custody, <br /> 4.
