Later, Bill stated a hazardous waste determination had <br /> not been on the waste. <br /> 1.A yellow spill response drum storing unknown spill clean-up waste. Taped to the drum was a shipping paper, <br /> which contained tracking#: 291-3072640, shipper:Wilmar Renovations Plus#505,trailer#: 290961, BOL(bill of <br /> lading)#: 9518-01, and date 7/22/2019. Bill pulled up the bill of lading on his computer, however it was still unclear <br /> what type of material had been shipped and spilled. *Update on 1/30/20: Bill stated this waste was identified as <br /> water-based paint spill clean up debris that will be managed as non-RCRA hazardous waste. <br /> 2.An open 55-gallon yellow steel drum storing used absorbent and broken cardboard and wood. Taped to the <br /> drum was a shipping paper,which stated"leaking product from bags"and contained tracking#: 053-1864193, <br /> shipper: EM Sulivan Associates Inc., trailer#: ESTU900302, and date 8/7/2019. Bill pulled up the bill of lading on <br /> his computer,which stated the material was being shipped to Ardex in Stockton and a partially illegible commodity <br /> #: IMM-3MM, however it was still unclear what type of material had been shipped and spilled. *Update on 1/30/20: <br /> Bill stated this waste was identified as non-RCRA hazardous waste. <br /> 3.A 55 gallon-black steel drum storing used PPE and spill clean-up waste and marked with a"corrosive"label. <br /> The drum lid was labeled "PPE (solids)and debris from spill clean-up; UN 1759; 2-of-6"and with a date of <br /> 5/29/2019. Bill did not know what material had spilled resulting in this spill clean-up waste. *Update on 1/30/20: Bill <br /> stated this waste was identified as sodium hydroxide spill clean up debris, hazard class 8, packing group 3. <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE: Any person who generates a waste shall determine if the waste is a hazardous waste <br /> as specified in Title 22 California Code of Regulations(CCR). There are wastes that are listed as hazardous <br /> wastes. There are wastes that exhibit one or more of the hazardous waste characteristics:toxic, corrosive, reactive <br /> or ignitable. <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: Immediately make a hazardous waste determination for each waste listed above, and <br /> manage it according to Title 22 CCR. Use Safety Data Sheets(SDS),waste sampling and test results or other <br /> knowledge to support your hazardous waste determination. Waste testing must be done using methods specified <br /> in Title 22 CCR including sections 66261.20-24. <br /> Submit a statement and supporting documentation with your hazardous waste determination. Demonstrate current <br /> storage and labeling for wastes determined to be hazardous wastes.
