Box 198 <br />Lathrop, California 95330 <br />RE: WELL PERMITS REQUIRED <br />Dear Mr. Harris: <br />SERVING <br />City of Tracy <br />City of Stockton <br />City of Escalon <br />City of Lodi <br />City of Manteca <br />City of Ripon <br />San Joaquin County <br />San Joaquin County <br />San Joaquin County <br />May this serve to confirm the expressed considerations and conditions pertinent <br />to wells proposed for installation relative to the "Plan of Study" which will <br />continence on 20 February 1980, as was agreed during our meeting in my office <br />today. As we discussed, the requisites of OCSJC Ordinance 1862 shall apply; <br />in addition to all but a few unrestated provisions of the Ordinance, as autho- <br />rized in Section 5-4106, the following shall also apply to each boring and/or <br />well (hereafter "well"): <br />1. A separate application and permit is required for each well; <br />2. A certified engineering or surveyor plot plan of the area of <br />the plan of study encompassing the well site of a scale of <br />one (1) inch equalling 444 feet, and the plot plan located <br />on the reverse of the permit application to be of a scale of <br />one (1) inch equally 25'; <br />3. representatives of the drilling company shall notify the <br />Division, at its Stockton Office, of the date and time of <br />each drilling activity and backfilling distruction of wells, <br />and allow the presence of authorized District personnel during <br />drilling, prior to and during well distruction, with 48 hr. notice; <br />4. Each well shall be destroyed within 72 hours of completed <br />drilling by use of a tremie pipe which accomplishes filling <br />the well consecutively from the lowermost depth of the well, <br />to the surface ground level, using neat cement (94 pounds of <br />Portland cement with 5 - 10 gallons of clean water), with an <br />approved surface seal; <br />
