Please consider the
following comments when reviewing the "Spill Prevention and Counter Measure
Control Plan" which is to be submitted by "OXY" by September 1, 1982:
1. A plan should be submitted which includes rodent control
around hypalon lined ponds and frequent inspection and/or
monitorina to discover rodent holes through the liner.
Gophers have been known to destroy .liners made of this
material.
2. Emergency notification procedures should include the
telephone number of the Sanitary Engineering Section,
Stockton District, as the regulating agency for large
water systems in the area.
3. Employees handling and managing toxic materials should
receive orientation about the waste discharge require-
ments in addition to the posting of the requirements
in a conspicuous area.
cc: San Joaquin Local Health District
`' Irv, i r
rt
N rI
0 i,
L FW & O -
RJCT
