GEOMATRIX <br /> • Purge rate <br /> 2.2 SAMPLE CONTAINERS AND PRESERVATION <br /> Appropriate pre-cleaned sample containers and preservatives for the analyses to be performed <br /> will be obtained from the subcontracted analytical laboratory. Frequently requested analyses <br /> and sample handling requirements are listed in Table 1. <br /> 2.3 SAMPLE LABELING <br /> Sample containers will be labeled before or immediately after sampling with self-adhesive tags <br /> having the following information written in waterproof ink: <br /> • Geomatrix <br /> • Project number <br /> • Sample I.D.number <br /> • Date and time sample was collected <br /> • Initials of sample collector <br /> 2.4 QUALITY CONTROL SAMPLES <br /> In order to evaluate the precision and accuracy of analytical data, quality control samples,such <br /> as duplicates and blanks,will be periodically prepared. These samples will be collected or <br /> prepared and analyzed by the laboratory,as specified in the project Quality Assurance Project <br /> Plan(QAPP)or by the project manager. <br /> 2.5 HANDLING,STORAGE,AND TRANSPORTATION <br /> Efforts will be made to handle, store,and transport supplies and samples safely. Exposure to <br /> dust,direct sunlight,high temperature,adverse weather conditions,and possible contamination <br /> will be avoided. Immediately following collection, samples will be placed in a clean chest that <br /> contains ice or blue ice(if cooling is required), and will be transported to the subcontracted <br /> laboratory as soon as practical,or in accordance with the project QAPP. <br /> 3.0 FIELD MEASUREMENTS <br /> Field measurements of temperature,pH, and SEC will be performed on aliquots of groundwater <br /> that will not be submitted for laboratory analysis.
