Item No. 1
PC: 8-6-87
VR-86-5/UP-86-6
Page 12
requirements for the administrative offices are two spaces for
each three employees . For the 16 ministry housing units, the
parking standard is 1 . 5 spaces per unit .
The Sunday school building will have an occupancy of 200 per-
sons. The application does not make it clear whether or not
the Sunday school construction will occur during regular church
services. Therefore, it is assumed that the uses will be con-
ducted simultaneously. The Sunday school use is considered a
public assembly use rather than a parochial school use.
Therefore, parking requirements are one space for each three
seats.
Based on the foregoing discussion, the Planning Division esti-
mates that the project will require the following numbers of
standard automobile parking spaces:
° Sanctuary: 2 , 000 spaces
• Chapel : 67 spaces
• Administration offices: 20 spaces
° Assembly school : 133 spaces
° Buses (with credit) : 80 spaces
• RV' s: 42 spaces
° Ministry housing ( 16 units) : 24 spaces
Subtotal : 2 , 366 spaces
Minus Credit for Busing: 100 spaces
TOTAL PARKING REQUIRED: 2 , 266 spaces
TOTAL PARKING PROPOSED: 2 ,064 spaces
The 2 , 266-space figure would require 202 spaces more than the
number proposed by the applicant .
Another factor that could affect the availability of parking
facilities is the proposal to extend Moreland Street.
