Item No. 1
PC : 8-6-87
VR-86-5/UP-86-6
Page 15
posal is contrary to the unanimous recommendation of commenting
public agencies that immediate connection to the City of
Stockton sewer system be required if the project is approved.
Water Supply:
The applicant ' s proposal to install an interim project-only
well is inconsistent with public agency recommendations that
the site connect immediately to the City of Stockton water
supply system.
The County recently received an application referral for a City
subdivision located on the south side of Hammer Lane just west
of its intersection with the EBMUD line. The map submitted for
that project identifies a City well site at the northeast
corner of that project . The well site is located within one-
quarter of a mile of the Christian Life Center site.
In the event that the project is approved without the require-
ment of connection to the City of Stockton water system, the
County Department of Public Works recommends that the project
be allowed to use a private water system on an interim basis,
provided that the system is designed for future connection to
the City of Stockton system when a connection becomes
available.
Storm Drainage-
The applicant proposes to use a five-acre on-site percolation
pond for storm drainage. A terminal storm drainage system is
not available in the project area at this time. The Department
of Public Works recommendation, in the event of application
approval, is that the on-site drainage pond be allowed on an
interim basis, provided the system is designed for terminal
drainage when a terminal system has been created.
Police and Fire Services:
County police services are provided by the Sheriff/Coroner.
County fire protection service is provided by the Waterloo-
Morada Fire District . The District and the City of Stockton
have a mutual assistance agreement by which the City Fire
Department will respond to calls within the unincorporated
County. The nearest District station is located at the inter-
section of Morada Lane and State Route 99. The closest City
station is located at the intersection of Swain Road and Tam
O' Shanter Drive.
