In general, the wastewater treatment plant was
clean and well maintained. A site inspection photograph log is enclosed with this letter.
The following observations were made during the site inspection:
• All wastewater is being discharged to the return activated sludge package plant. Effluent from the
activated sludge plant is discharged to three polishing ponds located in series prior to discharge to
one of four evaporation/percolation ponds.
• Limited odor was noted while on the catwalk above the return activated sludge plant and at the
polishing ponds. There was no objectionable odors noted at the evaporation/percolation ponds.
• The freeboard in the ponds was acceptable.
• Wasted sludge from the return activated sludge treatment process is discharged to the southwest
evaporation/percolation pond.
• The wastewater screen is manually raked every day. Screenings are transported to a landfill for
disposal.
If you have any questions on this information, please telephone me at (916) 255-3116.
1_1
TIMOTHY R.
