03 March 2003
AGE-NC Project No. 03-0998
All soil samples were analyzed for:
• Total petroleum hydrocarbons quantified as diesel(TPH-d)in accordance with EPA Method
8015 Modified; and
• Volatile aromatic compounds-benzene,toluene,ethylbenzene,and total xylene(BTEX)and
the oxygenated ether methyl tert-butyl ether (MTBE) by EPA Method 8021.
RESULTS
TPH-d and total xylene was reported in sample D-1 (dispenser island) at 6,100 milligrams per
kilogram (mg/kg) and 0.008 mg/kg, respectively. No TPH-g, BTEX or MTBE were detected-in'
samples collected beneath the UST or in the composited stockpiled soil samples.
Copies of the laboratory report(CTEL Project No: CT214-0302074)and chain-of-custody form are
attached.
LIMITATIONS
Our professional services were performed using that degree of care and skill ordinarily exercised by
environmental consultants practicing in this or similar localities. The findings were based mainly
upon analytical results provided by an . independent laboratory. Evaluations of the
geologic/hydrogeologic conditions at the site for the purpose ofthis investigation are made from a
limited number of available data points(i.e.soil samples),and subsurface conditions may vary away
from these data points. No other warranty, expressed or implied, is made as to the professional
recommendations contained in this report.
The opportunity to provide this service is greatly appreciated.
