Install four additional monitoring wells across the
study area to provide more detailed information on
subsurface conditions which effect contaminants location
and migration. The wells will be installed to a
depth of 50 feet and soil samples obtained at five foot
intervals in accordance with Groundwater Technology,
Inc. 's Standard operating Procedures SOP 13 (See
Appendix I) . The proposed monitoring well locations
are plotted on Figure 2.
2. Design and install three pumping wells to initiate
control over further plume migration and provide for
.a
remedial cleanups of the free product and dissolved
contamination. Figure 2 shows the approximate
location of the proposed pumping wells. Design
specifications of the various components for the well
installation are described below.
A. Pumping well 1 would be located on the eastern
W edge of the Tang Fat Enterprises property and
Pumping well 2 located on property owned by the
Tomato Growers Association. Both will be of
similar design and construction. Well instal-
lation and soil sampling procedures would be
similar to the previously mentioned monitoring
wells. However, to prevent possible penetration
of a confining layer between .water bearing units
(aauiclude) , the last 10 feet of the boring
4
