' Site Conceptual Model <br /> FIRE STATION#2 <br />' 110 West Sonora Street, Stockton, California <br />' 1.0. INTRODUCTION <br /> At the request of the City of Stockton,Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc (AGE) has prepared the <br />' enclosed Site Conceptual Model (SCM) for the unauthorized release of hydrocarbons from the <br /> common underground storage tank(UST) area at the north end of the property located at 110 West <br /> Sonora Street, Stockton, California (the site) The location of the site is illustrated on Figure 1 and <br />' a plan of the site is illustrated on Figure 2 <br />' This SCM was prepared in response to the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department <br /> (EHD) meeting on 20 January 2005 <br />' 2.0. BACKGROUND <br /> The site is bounded on the north by Sonora Street, on the west and south by Madison Street and on <br /> the east by Commerce Street Presently a single building is located at the northern portion of the site, <br /> occupied by the City of Stockton-Fire Prevention Department The properties surrounding the site <br /> • are mostly industrial which included the Pacific Gas and Electrical bio-remediation project of the <br /> former coal gasification plant,directly down-gradient east of the site,with a few residences northeast <br /> of the site <br /> 21 UNDERGROUND STORAGE TANK REMOVALS <br />' UST installation dates are uncertain, however, the UST likely serviced the training and fire house <br /> site since the 1960's when the facility was constructed The locations of the USTs and tank <br /> designations,as reported by the EHD are depicted on Figure 2 Observe these differ from depictions <br /> of the site UST layout in prior reports <br /> In April 1987,UST#1,a 1,000 gallon gasoline UST was removed from the northern end of the UST <br /> cluster located at the western edge of the site The UST removal documented an unauthorized <br /> release This UST reportedly served the western dispenser on the fuel island, located at the <br /> southwestern corner of the building The product line which was served fuel from UST #1 was <br /> reportedly abandoned The soil sample collected during the UST removal reportedly contained total <br /> I petroleum hydrocarbons (TPH) of 3,300 milligrams per kilogram (mg/kg), benzene, toluene and <br /> xylene at 54 mg/kg, 280 mg/kg and 380 mg/kg, respectively <br /> In August 1987,one additional UST#6 was removed from the southern portion of the trained tower, <br /> referred to later as the southern UST In April 1992 UST 44 was removed from the western corner <br /> of the building, this UST stored waste oil and was filled by drain lines from within the building's <br /> Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc <br />
