A residual stockpile of approximately 500 cy of soil that could not successfully be treated
remained on site. This residual lead-impacted soil was loaded into railcars on July 18, 1996
and transported to the ECDC landfill in Utah for disposal.
The four additional site monitoring wells were installed at their approved locations on
July 15, 1996. These wells were developed on July 18, 1996. Initial quarterly water level
measurements and sampling of the four new and the two existing monitoring wells was
performed on July 24, 1996. Locations and elevations of all site monitoring wells will be
surveyed during the week of August 12, 1996. Results of ground water elevation
calculations and analyses for dissolved lead for this and a minimum of two subsequent
quarters will be presented to the Regional Board in separate letter reports.
M The following sections of this report provide general site background information and discuss
the methods used to perform the field activities summarized above. Section 2.0 summarizes
pre-remediation activities at the site and provides references to all site soil characterization
_ data. Historic ground water monitoring data are presented. Section 3.0 describes both the
;-I soil excavation/off-site disposal phase and the soil treatment phase of remediation. Soil
confirmation sample results are presented for-both phases of remediation. Excavation
backfilling, and installation and development of new site monitoring wells are described in
Sections 4.0 and 5.0, respectively.
169-002.rpt/08-09-96iu/keydata/oldtracv/reports/rpt002 5
TerraNext
