The <br /> purpose of this letter is to request a meeting with yourself and Mr. Infurnia, to discuss the <br /> contents of the letter from your agency dated October 2, 1995, which was in response to the <br /> site investigation workplan, dated August 2, 1995, and to discuss how this project can <br /> progress.to site closure in an accelerated, but cost efficient means. In the agency letter, you <br /> presented requests that greatly expanded the proposed scope of work, and exceed current <br /> available funding and are beyond the scope of comments presented in your agency letter of <br /> May 25, 1993, which was in response to the work conducted at the site by Wallace-Kuhl <br /> and Associates and presented in their report Soil and Groundwater Investigation dated <br /> March 25, 1993. <br /> The scope of the topics we would like to discuss with you during the meeting are <br /> outlined below. <br /> Item 1: Additional Soil and Groundwater Analysis <br /> Based on the nature and location of historical information of the contaminants at the <br /> site, laboratory analysis for the proposed soil and groundwater sampling was restricted to <br /> total petroleum hydrocarbons as jet fuel (TPH-JF) and benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, and <br /> xylenes (BTEX).
