The purpose of this letter is to request a meeting with yourself and Mr. Infurnia, to discuss the contents of the letter from your agency dated October 2, 1995, which was in response to the site investigation workplan, dated August 2, 1995, and to discuss how this project can progress.to site closure in an accelerated, but cost efficient means. In the agency letter, you presented requests that greatly expanded the proposed scope of work, and exceed current available funding and are beyond the scope of comments presented in your agency letter of May 25, 1993, which was in response to the work conducted at the site by Wallace-Kuhl and Associates and presented in their report Soil and Groundwater Investigation dated March 25, 1993. The scope of the topics we would like to discuss with you during the meeting are outlined below. Item 1: Additional Soil and Groundwater Analysis Based on the nature and location of historical information of the contaminants at the site, laboratory analysis for the proposed soil and groundwater sampling was restricted to total petroleum hydrocarbons as jet fuel (TPH-JF) and benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, and xylenes (BTEX).
