KLEINFELDER <br /> File No. 20-1147-56.E01 <br /> September 19, 1994 <br /> After collection, the soil samples will be labeled, logged on a chain-of-custody, and <br /> immediately stored in an iced cooler. The five (5) samples will be submitted to a State <br /> certified laboratory for the following analyses: <br /> • TPH Extractable by EPA Method 8015M/LUFT (diesel range) <br /> • BTEX by EPA Method 8020 <br /> The samples will be analyzed on a normal laboratory schedule requiring approximately two <br /> weeks (ten working days) for completion. <br /> The soil borings will be advanced using a hand auger and sampling system. The borings will <br /> be advanced, logged, and sampled following the protocol described in Attachment A. <br /> Task E03 - Reporting <br /> Upon completion of the field activities and receipt of the analytical results, a report of <br /> findings will be prepared for client and agency review. The report will include: <br /> • A description of the field activities, observations, and protocols <br /> • Tabulated results of soil samples with copies of certified results <br /> • Description and documentation of QA/QC procedures employed for field and <br /> laboratory work <br /> • Kleinfelder's conclusions and recommendations based on the data acquired <br /> ASSUMPTIONS AND CLIENT RESPONSIBILITIES <br /> + This proposal will be adequate to obtain authorization from the SJCEHD. If <br /> a more comprehensive workplan is necessary, additional charge for workplan <br /> preparation will be incurred. <br /> • The City of Stockton will have furniture moved and the carpet folded back <br /> exposing the concrete slab in the proposed location. <br /> • Adequate work space and access will be provided. Kleinfelder will attempt to <br /> advance the soil borings at the proposed locations. A pachometer or similar <br /> rebar locating device will be used in placing the boring location on the <br /> concrete slab. If the drilling equipment cannot be positioned, alternative <br /> drilling locations or sampling methods should be investigated at an additional <br /> EM:and 14194 <br /> Copyright 1994 Kleinfelder, Inc.
