Former Unocal Service Station No. 0187 <br /> May 11, 1995 <br /> o 402 North Sutter Street, located on the northeast corner of North Sutter Street and East <br /> Channel Avenue, approximately 350 feet south-southeast of the subject site. <br /> o 403 East Miner Avenue, located on the northeast corner of North Sutter Street and East <br /> Miner Avenue, approximately 150 feet west-southwest of the subject site. <br /> o 345 North California, located on the southwest corner of North California Street and <br /> East Lindsay Avenue, approximately 100 feet north of the subject site. <br /> o 408 North California, located on the northeast corner of North California Street and <br /> East Lindsay Avenue, approximately 250 feet north of the subject site. <br /> 1972 Map - Two service stations first identified on the 1950 map are still shown on the <br /> 1972 map. The station situated approximately 100 feet south of the subject site at 434 East <br /> Miner Avenue (southwest corner of North California Street and East Miner Avenue) is still <br /> shown, and appears to have expanded to cover the entire northeast quarter of Block 30. <br /> The station situated approximately 250 feet north of the subject site at 408 North California <br /> Avenue (northeast corner of North California Avenue and East Lindsay Avenue) is still <br /> shown, and appears to occupy approximately the same area as shown on the 1950 map. <br /> AERIAL PHOTOGRAPHS <br /> GSI visited the SJCSO on March 13, 1995, to review available aerial photographs. GSI <br /> was able to inspect five aerial photographs covering the subject site and vicinity. These <br /> photographs were inspected for evidence of petroleum hydrocarbon usage at sites in the <br /> vicinity of the subject site, such as gas station canopies or dispenser islands, above ground <br /> storage tanks, etc. The photographs inspected were: <br /> Photo. Area around the subject site <br /> has been built out, and the buildings appear to be predominantly commercial in nature. <br /> No other service stations or obvious possible sources of petroleum hydrocarbons are <br /> observed in the vicinity of the subject site. <br /> 8/14/52 photogaph - Service station at subject site is visible. Property located <br /> immediately south of the subject site on southwest corner of North California Street and <br /> East Miner Avenue has small building with lots of parking surrounding it, but the exact <br /> usage could not be determined from the photograph. Service stations are also observed <br /> 4827.p+-1 4 GeoStrategies <br />
