l
Ms. Lori Duncan
July 26, 2006
GROUNDATER MONITORING AND SAMPLING PLAN
BBL has evaluated the results of the recent Quarterly Monitoring Reports for the site, and proposes the
following modified sampling and analysis plan for future groundwater monitoring program events at the
site:
• Quarterly monitoring of groundwater levels from the entire monitoring well network.
• List of monitoring wells to be sampled on a quarterly basis: MW-1, MW-2, MW-3, MW-4, MW-
5,and MW-6(once installed and developed).
• The list of analytes for all groundwater samples will include: TPH-D (CIO-C28) by United States
Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA) Method 8015 Modified, and TPH-G (C6-C10) and
BTEX by USEPA Method 8260B. Oxygenate compounds have not been detected in the
groundwater samples at appreciable concentrations; therefore, will not be analyzed for during
future monitoring events.
• Request coordination of monitoring dates with the Unocal #0187 site, so that the groundwater
elevation data can utilized to better evaluate flow directions.
Groundwater samples were collected in accordance with California Environmental Protection Agency
" (CaIEPA) procedures outlined in Representative Sampling of Groundwater for Hazardous Substances
(CaIEPA, 1995). The samples will be submitted to Lancaster Laboratories of Lancaster, Pennsylvania for
analysis.
If you have any questions or comments regarding the contents of this Work Plan, please contact Dav' _
Lay of BBL at (315) 671-9197 or by email at dlay@bbl-inc.com or David Evans of BBL at (91 ` taiE (
_ 0124 extension 226 or by email at devans@bbl-inc.com.
