Compile the data and findings in a report to be submitted to the San Joaquin County <br /> Environmental Health Division of the Public Health Services <br /> BACKGROUND <br /> The subject property consists of a 0 7 acre, asphalt paved, paiking lot located at the <br />' southwest corner of California Stieet and East Miner Avenue in Stockton, California It is <br /> contiguous to an 1 1 story office building at 242 N Sutter Street Both parcels are under <br /> the ownership of Sutter Office Center <br /> The study area, at an elevation of apps oximately 12 feet above mean sea leve! is <br /> underlain by a silty to sandy clay that tends to restrict the lateral movement of the <br /> petroleum hydrocai bons Groundwater in this area is encountered at approximately 26 <br /> feet and is generally non-potable and subject to saline bay water inti usion Based on data <br /> from our monitoring wells, the groundwater at this site has a gradient of 0 009 to the <br /> northeast <br /> Our well inventory computer search indicates that there are two California Water Service <br /> Wells 42-01 and 53-01 within a half-a-mile of the subject property, as shown on Plate 1, <br /> Water Well Locations Within 1 Mile of Site Well 3 (42-01) within 2,000 feet of the site <br /> lhas been destroyed, and Well 2 (53-01) is inactive Both of these wells have poor quality <br /> water, see Appendix A, Watei Well Record Search <br /> A former service station with foul 550 gallon underground storage tanks occupied this <br /> . site from the 1940's until February 1960 At this time these storage tanks were <br /> I <br /> IHYDRO GEO CONSULTANTS,INC <br />
