(Cambria)on October 18, 1996 at the above referenced site. The investigation objective <br /> was to define the extent of gasoline-range hydrocarbons in soil and ground water beneath the former tank <br /> pit located on the southern portion of the property. The site background, our scope of work, and the <br /> results of our investigation are discussed below. <br /> a`. <br /> SITE LOCATION <br /> The residential site is located on Sycamore. Street in a .residential area in Manteca, California. <br /> 4 Commercial businesses operate north of the site on Alameda Avenue(Figure 1). <br /> PREVIOUS INVESTIGATIONS <br /> 3 CAMBRIA <br /> t <br /> ENVIRONMENTAL On September 14, 1994, Stockton Service Station Equipment(SSSE) of Stockton,California removed <br /> two 1,000-gallon leaded gasoline underground storage tanks(USTs)from the site. Tank 1 was removed <br /> TECHNOLOGY,INC. <br /> from the northern portion of the site and Tank 2 was removed from the southern boundary of the site <br /> 1144 65EIi STREET, (Figure 2). Petroleum hydrocarbons and lead.were not detected in a soil sample collected at 6.5 ft depth . <br /> F. <br /> SUITE B from beneath the pit for Tank 1 (Tank Pit 1). Total petroleum hydrocarbons as gasoline(TPHg),toluene, <br /> ethylbenzene and total xylenes were detected at concentrations of 1,900,2.3,2.0,and 91 parts per million <br />{ OAKLAND, (ppm),respectively,in a soil sample collected from beneath the Tank Pit 2 at 5.5 ft depth.
