Theisen. <br /> Permits: San Joaquin County Public Health Services soil boring permit # 010505 <br /> (Attachment A). <br /> Drilling Company: Gregg Drilling and Testing of Martinez, California. <br /> Drilling Date: October 18, 1996. <br /> Drilling Methods: 8-inch Hollow Stem Auger for the monitoring well and hydraulic push with <br /> roto-hammer for the soil borings. <br /> Number of Borings: Four(SB-1 through SB-4)(Figure 2). <br /> Boring Depths: 16 to 35 ft depth(Attachment B). <br /> Sediment Lithology: The site is underlain by fine to medium-grained sands(with a low percentage <br /> of silt)of moderate to high estimated permeability to the total depth explored <br /> of 35 ft(Attachment B). <br /> Sampling: Soil samples were collected at five foot intervals between 6 ft and 19 ft from <br /> the soil borings. No grab ground water samples were collected. <br /> Chemical Analyses: All water and selected soil samples were analyzed for TPHg and BTEX by <br /> modified EPA Method 8015/8020 <br /> Waste Disposal. Composite soil samples collected from the drums containing soil cuttings <br />'t were analyzed for TPHg and BTEX(Attachment Q. Since these samples <br /> did not contain TPHg or BTEX, the generated soil was used on site for <br /> landscaping. <br /> Well Construction <br /> Based on the northward historic ground water flow direction in the Manteca area,soil boring SB-4 was located <br /> immediately down gradient of the former tank pit and was, therefore, developed as monitoring well MW_I. <br /> Ground water samples from this well were analyzed for petroleum hydrocarbons to evaluate the impact to <br /> ground water, if any,due to any releases of gasoline from the former UST. <br /> f <br /> t 3 <br />
