1
Quarterly Monitoring Report—First Quarter of 2010 Page 6
' TURNER ROAD VINTNERS April 30, 2010
WKA No. 5279.03
' Based on the results of laboratory analyses and review of sampling procedures, laboratory
quality assurance and quality control, and review of historical analytical results, the data appears
adequate for the use intended.
' 6.0 SUMMARY
' First quarter 2010 groundwater monitoring of the process wastewater treatment well network at
the Turner Road Vintners' winery was conducted on March 16, 2010. The DTW and
groundwater elevation at the time of monitoring ranged between 12.42 and 24.65 feet btoc and
—0.43 to +4.43 feet msl, respectively. The direction of groundwater flow on the date of
monitoring was southeasterly at a calculated hydraulic gradient of 0.001.
' First quarter groundwater analytical results for wells MWl through MW5 were generally
consistent with the existing body of data. Results of water samples from monitoring wells MW4
and MW5 continue to show elevated values of TDS and specific conductivity, when compared to
monitoring wells MW1, MW2, and MW3.
' In the previous monitoring events since 2004, MW3 and MW4 were the only wells in which
Nitrate as Nitrogen was detected. During this quarter however, the groundwater sample
retrieved from monitoring well MW4 was the only sample with detectable concentrations of
Nitrate as Nitrogen.
7.0 LIMITATIONS
The statements and conclusions in this report are based upon the scope of work described above
' and on observations made on the dates of our fieldwork. The work was performed using a
degree of skill consistent with that of competent environmental consulting firms performing
' similar work in the area. No recommendation is made as to the suitability of the property for any
purpose. The results of our investigation do not preclude the possibility that materials currently,
or in the future, defined as hazardous are present on the property. This report is applicable only
to the investigated property and should not be used for any other property. No warranty is
expressed or implied.
