1
Quarterly Monitoring Report—First Quarter of 2010 Page 5
' TURNER ROAD VINTNERS April 30, 2010
WKA No. 5279.03
5.0 RESULTS OF MONITORING AND SAMPLE ANALYSIS
' 5.1 Site Groundwater Conditions
Groundwater DTW at the site ranged from 12.42 feet below-top-of-casing (btoc) in monitoring
' well MW2 to 24.65 feet btoc in monitoring well MW3. Groundwater elevations (GWE) based
on the DTW measurements and measured top of casing elevations at the site ranged from
' 0.43 feet ms] in MW3 to +4.43 feet msl in MW2. It should be noted that MW3 is located on
the East Facility, nearly 3,300 feet east of the other monitoring wells.
' The direction of groundwater flow on March 17, 2010 was calculated to be southeasterly with a
gradient of 0.0010. Figure 3 depicts estimated groundwater elevation equipotential contours and
water levels at the site as measured on March 17, 2010. Historically, groundwater flow has been
primarily east-southeast at a relatively flat gradient.
5.2 Site Water Quality Conditions
' First quarter 2010 groundwater analytical results indicate a general consistency in the reported
concentrations of the constituents of concern since sampling began in 2004. A summary of
reported concentrations, as determined by chemical analyses of the required constituents of
concern, is presented in Table 3. Time series plots of the parameters TDS (plus groundwater
elevation) for each of the monitoring wells are included as Charts 1 through 5. Appendix A
' includes the laboratory report and a copy of the chain-of-custody for this sampling event.
' 5.3 Data Quality
All samples were received by the laboratory under documented chain-of-custody. United States
' Environmental Protection Agency SW-846 (EPA 2000)protocols for sample storage and
preservation were followed. Qualifiers were attached to all pH results since the samples
' exceeded the analytical method hold time.
The spike recovery was outside the QC acceptance limits for the MS and/or MSD due to analyte
concentration at 4 times or greater the spike concentration. The QC batch was accepted based on
LCS and/or LCSD recoveries within the accepted limits.
