Lopez Property Page 2
1601 Turnpike Road May 15, 2008
Stockton, California 95206
Groundwater samples will be analyzed for total petroleum hydrocarbons quantified as
gasoline (TPH-g); benzene, toluene, ethyl benzene, and total xylenes (BTEX); methyl
tertiary-butyl ether (MTBE), ethyl tertiary-butyl ether (ETBE), di-isopropyl ether (RIPE),
tertiary-amyl methyl ether (TAME), tertiary butyl alcohol (TBA), 1,2-dichloroethane
(1,2-DCA), and 1,2-dibromoethane (EDB).
The EHD approves the work plan with the following condition:
• As odor in water is not a reliable guide for sampling and analytical decisions, samples
should be collected for laboratory analysis from each depth interval inferred from the
CPT borings to have significant permeability.
Submit an access agreement from the property owner of 1607 Turnpike Road, along with
well permit applications and permit/inspection fees of $383 per parcel to the EHD and
complete the fieldwork by August 1, 2008. Please contact Vicki McCartney, Senior
Registered Environmental Health Specialist, at (209) 468-9852 or by email at
vmccartneyCaj.sicehd.com if you have any questions.
Sincerely,
Victoria L.
