Installation of four monitoring wells with screening intervals from approximately 15 to 35 <br /> feet below surface grade NO to investigate the lateral extent of residual soil <br /> contamination, and for collection of quarterly groundwater samples to investigate <br /> groundwater gradient and contamination. The four monitoring wells will be located <br /> approximately 85 feet southwest, 50 feet southeast, 85 feet east, and 55 feet north of the <br /> former underground storage tank(UST)location. <br /> 2. Installation of one deep monitoring well with a screen interval from approximately 55 to <br /> 65 feet bsg to delineate the vertical extent of contamination at the source area. The well <br /> will be located approximately eight feet south of monitoring well MW-I and adjacent to <br /> the former UST site. <br /> 3. Soil samples will be collected at five-foot intervals for lithological classification, and <br /> based on field observations and the detection of volatile organic compounds using an <br /> organic vapor meter with a photo ionization detector, selected soil samples and <br /> groundwater samples collected quarterly will be analyzed for: <br /> • Total petroleum hydrocarbons as gasoline (TPH-g) by United States Environmental <br /> Protection Agency(EPA) SW-846 method 801513; <br /> • Benzene, toluene, ethyl benzene, and total xylenes (BTEX) by EPA SW-84 <br /> 8021B or 8260B• 6 methods <br /> • Methyl tertiary-butyl ether (MTBE), tertiary butyl alcohol TB <br /> (DIPE),ethyl tertiary-butyl ether(ETBE), tertiary amyl methyl ether(TAME),pyl ether <br /> ethylene dibromide (EDB), and 1,2-dichloroethane (1,2-DCA) by EPA SW-846 <br /> \ method 8260B. <br />
