Additional Site Assessment Work Plan
LOPEZPROPERTY
1601 Turnpike Road, Stockton,California
1.0. INTRODUCTION
At the request of Ms. Mabel Keir, Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc. (AGE) has prepared the
enclosed work plan for the property at 1601 Turnpike Road, Stockton, California(site). The work
plan was prepared as required by the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department(EHD)
by letter dated 07 February 2008, to continue delineation of the lateral extent of petroleum
hydrocarbon-impact to ground water at the site, specifically to investigate intermediate and deep
water-bearing zones.A copy of the EHD directive letter is included in Appendix A.Site background
information is included in Appendix B. The location of the site is illustrated on Figure 1; a plan of
the site and surrounding properties is illustrated on Figure 2.
The scope of work was designed to be conducted in conjunction with the additional site assessment
proposed,soil boring and geotechnical soil sounding for 1607 Turnpike Road,Stockton,California
(adjacent-site) (Comfort Air site). The work is proposed due to the co-mingled nature of the
dissolved plumes. Mr. Greg Gaut of Comfort Air, Inc. will receive a copy of the work plan.
This work plan provides a description of the scope of work and procedures to be used for Cone
Penetrometer Testing(CPT)soil boring advancement,ground water sample collection and analysis,
and boring destructions.The plan was prepared in accordance with Central Valley Regional Water
Quality Control Board(CVRWQCB) guidelines for the investigation of underground storage tank
(UST) sites.
2.0. SCOPE OF WORK
i
Based on analytical data from monitorig wells MW-8 (screened from 55-65 feet below surface
grade; bsg), MW-9 (110-120 feet bsg), MW-10 (50-60 feet bsg)and MW-11(55-65 feet bsg),'the
lateral extent of hydrocarbon-impacted intermediate and deep ground water zones are not defined.
The EHD has required further investigation to define and confirm the lateral and vertical extent of
the dissolved petroleum hydrocarbon impacts to ground water.
The proposed scope of work will include the following tasks:
• Permitting and pre-field work activities;
• CPT soil boring advancement;
• Soil boring (hydropunch) and ground water sample collection advancement;
• Analysis of ground water samples; and
• Report preparation.
Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc.
