kn KLEINFELDER TASK 3.0 REPORTING Upon completion of the field activities and receipt of the soil analytical results collected during the installation event, a report of findings for the drilling of the soil boring and the monitoring well installation will be written. Groundwater monitoring will be included in subsequent quarterly monitoring reports prepared for the site for client and agency review. The installation report will include: • A description of the field activities, observations, and protocols; • Lithologic Logs; • Tabulated results of soil samples with copies of certified results (groundwater results to be included in quarterly monitoring reports); • A graphical representation of soil and groundwater sampling locations; • Description and documentation of QA/QC procedures employed for field and laboratory work; and • Kleinfelder's conclusions and recommendations based on the data acquired. All information gathered during the study by Kleinfelder is considered confidential and will be released only upon written authorization from the client or as required by law. California law requires a person to inform the state if a situation is encountered that can be considered an immediate endangerment to the public's health or welfare and/or to the environment. Therefore, the client will be contractually bound to make any said disclosures in lieu of Kleinfelder, its owners,principals, employees or subcontractors. CLIENT RESPONSIBILITIES AND ASSUMPTIONS This proposal/workplan and the attached cost estimate are based on the following assumptions and responsibilities: • Damrell, Nelson, Schrimp, Pallios, Pacher & Silva will assist Kleinfelder in obtaining an acceptable access agreement for the site and owner authorization for the proposed sampling. • Adequate work space and access will be provided. Kleinfelder will attempt to advance soil boring and collect samples at the proposed location. If the drilling equipment cannot be positioned, alternative drilling locations or sampling methods should be investigated. • The boring will be drilled with a truck mounted drill rig equipped with hollow stem augers. If difficult drilling conditions are encountered, alternative sampling methods may be necessary. • Soil and water generated during the drilling and sampling will be the responsibility of the client. Soil cuttings and decontamination rinseate will be contained in labeled 55 gallon drums and will be left on site. Sampling and analysis of the contained soil and water may be necessary prior to disposal. Disposal or remediation options for the soil and water can be assessed once analytical results have been received.
