ASSESS THE RISK <br /> • Identify spilled material (TOXIC, FLAMMABLE, CORROSIVE, ETC.) <br /> • Is the leak spreading toward a drain or customer areas? <br /> 2. PROTECT YOURSELF <br /> • Call 1-866-819-1926 and provide information from risk assessment. <br /> • You will be instructed as to personal protective equipment and next steps <br /> 3. CONFINE THE SPILL <br /> • Use spill pads or sheets from the "Spill Kit" to prevent further movement of the material. <br /> 4. STOP THE SOURCE <br /> • If safe to do so, place container in one of the disposal bags provided in the "Spill Kit". <br /> 5. EVALUATE AND IMPLEMENT CLEANUP <br /> • Most spills will be small. Place contaminated material in disposal bag from "Spill Kit". Use <br /> dust pan and broom if needed. <br /> 6. DECONTAMINATION <br /> • If spill area can be wiped clean using absorbent sheets from "Spill Kit", do so. <br /> • If spill area requires more thorough cleaning, isolate the area with signs, <br /> call 1-866-819-1926 and a third party will be dispatched. <br /> 7.
