The Work Plan proposes destroying 21 remaining groundwater monitoring
wells and 12 ozone sparging wells by overdrilling the borings to remove all material within the original boreholes
and backfilling the borings by tremmie-filling the borings with cement grout.
The Work Plan is acceptable to Regional Water Board staff. Georgia-Pacific may proceed to complete the work
upon obtaining the necessary permits from the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department. A
completion report documenting the well destruction should be submitted within 60 days of completion of the
field work. Upon acceptance of the report, a final No Further Action letter will be issued.
