rknKLEIN FELDER
r
r1 EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
rThis is a work plan to assess baseline ground water quality beneath the Harvest Glen
rSubdivision.
During a Preacquisition Site Assessment (PSA) for the Jonathan Group (Developers of
rHarvest Glen Subdivision), Kleinfelder reviewed the records of the California Regional
Water Quality Control Board (RWQCB) concerning the nearby Georgia-Pacific (75 W.
r Valpico Road) and Triple E Produce (8690 W. Linne Road) sites. The RWQCB has
investigated the two facilities as potential sources of chloroform contamination in the local
' ground water. Chloroform contamination has migrated offsite in both cases. The Georgia-
Pacific site is currently undergoing remediation and the Triple E Produce site is still under
r investigation. The two sites are south and east of the Glen Harvest subdivision, ground
water flow is reportedly north to northwest.
rTo collect ground water samples for an assessment of the baseline ground water quality
beneath the site, Kleinfelder proposes to install three monitoring wells on site. Ground
r water samples will be collected from the three wells and analyzed for purgeable
halocarbons by EPA Method 601 specifically for chloroform. In addition, ground water
flow direction and gradient will be calculated to assess the potential impact from offsite
sources.
rTo begin field operations a boring permit is required from the San Joaquin Local Health
r District (SJLHD). A copy of this work plan, with a release of data information form signed
by a representative of the Jonathan Group, should be sent to the SJLHD for their approval.
rOnce the SJLHD has issued the boring permit Kleinfelder will implement this work plan.
r
r
1
129-88-1378 1
r
