' hTI KLEINFELDER
' 2BACKGROUND
The Jonathan Group retained Kleinfelder to perform a PSA of three parcels (APN 127-67-
56, 237-12-35 and 237-12-43) totalling 92.5 acres, to be known as the Harvest Glen
Subdivision. The subject property was used for agriculture since at least prior to 1963.
' The subject site is located in the southwest comer of Tracy Boulevard and Valpico Road in
Tracy, California. A site location map and a site vicinity map are included in Appendix A
' as Plate 1 and Plate 2 respectively.
' Site assessment activities conducted by Kleinfelder included a review of accessible utility,
city, county, and state agency records, a review of historical aerial photographs, and a site
' visit.
Kleinfelder's assessment report showed no indication of on site contamination but ground
' water contamination at two locations near Harvest Glen Subdivision. The two sites,
Georgia-Pacific and Triple-E, are under investigation by the RWQCB for chloroform
' contamination of the ground water (Plate 2). The Georgia-Pacific facility has been
remediating the ground water using recovery wells and an air stripping process.
' The Johnathan Group has requested Kleinfelder to install three monitoring wells on site to
' assess the baseline ground water quality beneath the site. This assessment can be used to
evaluate the impact of offsite chloroform contaminated ground water to ground water
' quality beneath the site.
1
129-88-1378 2
r
