nnedy/Jenks Consultants
Musco intends to construct a concrete slab of sufficient area to contain the new tank, pumps,
the solids separation equipment currently located at the 1-MG pond, and a small control room
for meters and sensors. Following installation and testing of the new tank and pumping systems,
the new tank system will be placed in operation, and use of the existing 1-MG pond will be
discontinued. Water will be removed from the 1-MG pond by pumping and transferred back to
the onsite wastewater management system.
Following drainage of the 1-MG pond and after allowing the pond surface to dry, Musco will
collect and analyze soil samples to evaluate the impact of past practices on the soils underlying
the pond. This Work Plan describes the proposed methods for collection and analysis of soil
samples to assess the nature and extent of that impact.
fi
Work Plan for Soil Characterization, Page 3
Musco Family Olive Company, Tracy, California
