Addendum <br /> to <br /> Tank Area Closure Report <br /> For <br /> Laura scuddern, Inc. , Tracy Plant <br /> 1.0 Introduction <br /> This addendum to the WESTON November 7, 1989, Tank Area Closure <br /> Report is being submitted per the request of Mr. Gregory Lyons of <br /> the San Joaquin County Department of Public Health, Environmental, <br /> Health Division in order to provide correction for two narrative <br /> text errors and to provide clarification for several unresolved <br /> issues. <br /> The unresolved issues, as discussed with Mr. Lyons on December 18, <br /> 1989 for the individual tank areas consists of the following: <br /> a Tank T7. - Mr. Lyons is recommending that Laura Scudder's re- <br /> sample the backfill material to ensure the cleanliness of this <br /> material. <br /> a Tank T3 - Mr. Lyons expressed concern both over the toluene <br /> and TPH concentrations detected in the tank piping area. <br /> Concern was also raised regarding the regulatory standards <br /> referenced. <br /> o Tank Tl - Mr. Lyons expressed concern regarding the total lead <br /> concentrations detected within the soils beneath this tank. <br /> o Soil stockpiles - Mr. Lyons suggested that all stockpiled <br /> soils be disposed of as hazardous waste. <br /> These comments/concerns as well as the report narrative corrections <br /> are discussed in the following sections. <br /> r 2.0 . Report Narrative corrections <br /> Two report narrative corrections were requested by Mr. Lyons. The <br /> first correction was on Pag:a 1, Section 1.00 Paragraph 3, first <br /> sentence. This sentence should read: <br /> - "The remaining two tanks (T1 a- T3) were removed in May 1989". <br /> The second narrative correction is found on page 7, section 2.2, <br /> second paragraph, first sentence. This sentence should read: <br /> "Each of the sixteen soil samples collected were containerized with <br /> r------ - trao,--4„ <br /> long-brass-tubes._„ -- -- ---- ---- - ---- - -- --- - -- ----- - <br /> Please note that these correctionssupersedethe original narrative <br /> text. <br />
